Orders & Payment

Where do you ship the orders from? All orders are shipped from our warehouse in Kokkola, Finland. All our products are stored here and we will never sell products on drop-shipping-terms.

 

 

How long does delivery take? Processing time is normally within 14 hours, or the next working day. We pack and ship your order as quickly as possible! Depending on your location the shippin gis about 1-9 working days. Europe within 5 days.

 

What is a presale product and when will my order be shipped? Presale products are items that are not yet in stock but are on their way to us. Your order will be shipped as soon as the restock arrives - presale orders are always first in line! We try to update product pages with an estimated arrival date and will contact you if there are delays.

 

What payment options are available?

We offer direct payment or invoice through our payment parters:

Paytrail, Online banks, MobilePay, card, Klarna
-Paypal
-Credit/debit card, Mastercard, VISA, Meastro, Amex, UnionPay

 

Do you ship to Åland? Yes! Simply select Åland as your country at checkout and VAT will be deducted automatically. Let us know if it doesn't work by emailing orders.

 

Is pickup an option? Yes, we have a pickup box at the store in Kokkola. Choose ”pick-up” at the checkout and pick it up whenever you want, 24/7. You’ll get a email with info and code once your order is packed.

Will I be charged customs and VAT on my order? If you are ordering from outside the EU, customs duties and VAT will be invoiced separately by your chosen shipping carrier. These costs are not included in the price and unfortunately we have no ability to influence customs fees.

Shipping & Returns

 

How is shipping handled? We ship with Matkahuolto, UPS and GLS.

 

 

What if the product looks different from the product image? Some of our products are handmade, which means slight variations from the product image can occur. If the difference is significant, we take full responsibility. Contact us and we'll find the best solution together - partial refund, exchange, or full refund depending on the situation.

 

How do I make a complaint or claim? Send photos and your contact details (name, phone number, address) to orders@knits.fi and we'll help you as soon as possible!

 

Product Questions

 

 

Where are the circular needles made? Our circular needles are made in China. The PRO engraved line is made from stainless steel, the original line from aluminium. The cable is coated with plastic.



Are your needles nickel-free? We have not tested our products for nickel ourselves but the information from our factory is that the PRO engraved line is nickel-free.

 

Are mitten and sock blockers sold individually or in pairs? Both options are available! They are sold either individually or in pairs. Please check the product description to see which applies to the specific product.

 

Care & Materials

 

My stitch markers/rowcounter have started to discolour - is that normal?
Gold-coloured products such as stitch markers and rowcounters have a gold-coloured coating, not real gold. Over time, this surface can oxidise (discolour), which is a natural process. Store your products in a dry storage box when not in use - moisture significantly accelerates oxidation. Note that the pH level of your skin can also affect how quickly oxidation occurs.

If discolouration happens unusually fast (within a few months despite correct storage), it may be grounds for a complaint. Contact us!

Tips to extend the lifespan:

       Store in a dry storage box

       Avoid humid environments (e.g. besides indoor swimming pools)

       Remove stitch markers when working in a humid environment

Bronze coloured markers have the longest durability.


 Digital Patterns

 

I bought a pattern but haven't received it by email - what do I do? The pattern is sent automatically by email right after purchase. Please check your spam folder. If it still hasn't arrived, contact us and we'll send it manually!



Am I allowed to share a pattern I downloaded for free from your site? No. All patterns, regardless of whether they were downloaded for free (via a goodiebag for example), are personal and may not be shared.
