Fill your sink or a basin with warm water. Hold the soap under the surface and lather it between your hands. When the water turns milky, you have the right amount of soap. Submerge one or more knitted garments and gently work the water into the fabric.

For stains, rub a little more soap directly onto the garment and gently work the stain away with your fingers.

Work through the garment without scrubbing. Drain the soapy water and rinse with clean water at the same temperature as before. Repeat if necessary, then gently press out excess water and lay the garment between two towels to shape. Always dry knitted garments flat.
